Warriors: An illustrative series
Illustrations based on the hit novel series by Erin Hunter

In my early years my father would often sit me down before bed and read me fantastic stories like lord of the rings, the hobbit, and watership down, a chapter per night. I had the luxery of letting my imagination soar as I sat back and listened. It often swarmed with interesting pictures of animal culture, and thankfully that fueled much of my projections of animal intelligence I still hold while drawing.

I have to admidt though that my love for fanart truely began when I was about 10 and was set on copying the beautiful stylized images of wild animals in such films as The Lion King, and the Last Unicorn, and that love of the wild still lingers in a lot of the illustrations I produce. The following collection is a group of the scenes and characters that graced the forest community of wild cats throughout the series that is 'Warriors' by Erin Hunter.
The 'Sharpclaw' that has been invading and killing the mountain clan, is taking it's final blow...without realizing it may be its last.
The main herroine's daughters: Squirrelflight and sister Leafpool have some fun while training.
Cloudtail stares dispairingly onward when he sees his love has been mauled by dogs.
Brook where small fish swim (from a mountain clan), and her mate stormtail bask in the morning sun.
Brightheart (once named lostface) comforts her daughter over a friends death, and shows why her name was regranted.
Here, before becoming leader of her clan Bluestar is simply Bluefur, mother to her kits...and clan.
While dreaming, Jayfeather chases Halfmoon through starclan, as Bluestar and Yellowfang look onward worried for their clan's future.
Forbidden by the clans, Bluefur escapes one night to meet a seperate clan cat, Oakfur. They share a lastr moment of love before deciding to stop meeting.
The mian herroine of he books Fireheart, shares a moment with his mate Sandstorm 'sharing tongues.'
One ofthe most beloved medicine cats and fond to Fireheart, Spottedleaf looks at the churning sky and seeing an omen from starclan.
With all things she once loved ripped from her and her clan almost falling to shreds, Bluestar spirals into madness.
A glimpse into the past, Bluestar gazes down onto her Clan, enjoying the morning sun.
and lastly, Fireheart and Greystripe (best friends) go to find their beloved Yellowfang from their camp after a fire has ravaged their forest.
Despite this being my illustration collection, I give full credit to the inspiration that has been the writing of Erin Hunter and fully recommend that if you like a good non-human story, that this series is wonderful. It is aimed at teenage audience, but I in my mid-twenties have loved it. It just shows that good writing and story can transcend generations...much like illustration.
